Taybeh – Nabd ElHaya – A high-level delegation from the Czech Republic visited the Caritas Medical Center in Taybeh, east of Ramallah, on Tuesday. The visit aimed to learn about the healthcare and social services provided by the center to local residents, and to gain an overview of the work carried out by Caritas Jerusalem in the Holy Land.
The visit was headed by Mr. Radek Rubeš, State Secretary at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by Mr. Jakub Šlosarčík, Head of the Czech Representative Office in Ramallah, along with several officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation was received by Dr. Riyad Maadi, Medical Director of the Center, Nabil Koua from the administrative staff, and a team from Caritas Jerusalem that included Nasreen Awad from the Social Services Department, Ramez Razouk from the Health and Emergency Department, Harout Bedrossian from the Resource Development Department, and Henriette Farah from the Administrative Support Department.
The team gave the visitors a detailed presentation on the mission and humanitarian role of Caritas Jerusalem in the Holy Land, highlighting its key health, social, and development programs implemented across various regions. These include primary healthcare projects, psychosocial and emergency relief programs, and initiatives targeting the most vulnerable groups in the West Bank, Gaza, and Jerusalem — all aimed at strengthening community resilience and improving quality of life.

Caritas Jerusalem is one of the leading church-based humanitarian organizations in Palestine. Established in 1967, it serves all segments of society regardless of religious or social affiliation, focusing particularly on supporting marginalized and vulnerable groups through programs in health, education, community development, and emergency relief.
The visit came as part of the Czech Republic’s ongoing interest in monitoring cooperation and partnership programs with local community institutions and in promoting humanitarian efforts serving the people of the Holy Land.
